ASA Alumni Diary: Chloe – exhausted but having fun!
Thursday, October 13, 2016
I was exhausted all day. My Aesthetics to Theater class was horrible, as usual. He made us watch videos and discuss the entire class period with the lights off.
Ballet was much better than yesterday. Horton was fun. We have been working on different attitude turns and pitches which are my favorite part of class. We also had to do triplets and prances which I can actually do now thanks to Shan’s lyrical classes.
After classes were done for the day, I went to get dinner with my friend before rehearsal. We had half an hour of rehearsal with the entire cast for Raymonda to work on the Coda. We had an additional hour of rehearsal to work on our character dance. I’m still working on my coordination in the heels. I stepped on my foot while working on passe chugs which left a nice bruise on my foot.
We even got let out of rehearsal fifteen minutes early which never happens, so that was a nice surprise!
