Acro Dance is quickly growing in popularity among the dance community. Acro fuses both classical dance techniques with acrobatic elements and passes. Students will learn beginner to advance tumbling skills and passes on mats designed for their safety.Acro is a great addition to any student’s dance training and will help to gain strength, flexibility, and agility.
Jr. Acro (Ages 4-6) An introduction to basic tumbling skills. This class will focus on both strength and flexibility along with the most basic acro skills.
Acro I (Required Skills: backbend kick over, backbend stand up, 1 handed cartwheel, handstand, right & left splits)
Acro II (Required Skills: front and back limber, front and back walkover, aerial, round off, all splits, chin stand)
Students should expect to spend a minimum of 2 years in each level.
Proper Acro attired required: Leotard or tight top, tight shorts or leggings, hair in secure ponytail or bun, no shoes.
