Trainees

The Trainee program is for the Intermediate dancer age 9+ and is designed to continue implementing ideas and skills learned in the Foundations program.

Trainee classes continue to have a strong focus on proper technical training that is meant to foster increased strength, flexibility, coordination, body alignment and awareness, and more.

Trainee dancers are highly encouraged to take a minimum of 2 classes per week and should expect to remain in the same level for a minimum of 2 years.

Trainee classes are required to participate in the end of year recital.

Trainees Program Class Options & Attire:

Ballet I

Attire: Grape tank leotard, pink ballet tights, white ballet belt, full sole leather ballet shoes, hair in secure bun. 

Jazz I

Attire: Form-fitting athletic gear, black or tan jazz shoes, hair in secure ponytail.

Contemporary I

Attire: Form-fitting athletic gear, lyrical shoes, hair in secure ponytail.

Leaps/Turns I

Attire: Form-fitting athletic gear, jazz shoes,, hair in secure ponytail.

Hip Hop I

Attire: Form-fitting athletic gear, clean gym shoes, hair in secure ponytail.

Acro I

Attire: Form-fitting athletic gear or leotard & shorts, no shoes or socks, hair in secure ponytail.

Tap I

Attire: Form-fitting athletic gear, black or tan tap shoes, hair in secure ponytail.

Musical Theater I

Attire: Form-fitting athletic gear, black or tan jazz shoes, hair in secure ponytail.
